What is The Blue Championship?
The Blue Championship is an official event on the Korn Ferry Tour, and is owned by Colorado Golf Charities., a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, and operated by HNS Sports Group. Formerly known as The Ascendent presented by Blue, the event features a purse of $1,000,000 and the tournament is conducted to showcase the best golf on the Korn Ferry Tour on one of the premier venues on Tour, TPC Colorado in Berthoud, Colorado, for the enjoyment of spectators and to benefit charitable organizations in Colorado and beyond.
As the title sponsor, Blue Federal Credit Union plays a vital role in bringing The Blue Championship to life – championing experiences that bring people together, strengthen communities, and create lasting impact both on and off the course.
Past participants include reigning champion Neal Shipley and PGA TOUR winners, Austin Eckroat, Chris Gotterup, Ben Griffin, Aldrich Potgieter, Scottie Scheffler, Karl Vilips, and Will Zalatoris, who won the 2020 event.
