How are we celebrating?
With our Generations of Blue campaign.
The premise is simple - each month, a different decade of members will be celebrated (the decades represent the date you became a member, not your birth year) following the outline below:
At the end of each month, a lucky member from the decade will be automatically entered to win $500 to say ‘Thank You’ from Blue.
We will also feature stories about the credit union and our members from each decade.

Stories of Blue
"While still on Active Duty with the Army, I was stationed in Casper. When setting up my Military Pay it was suggested to use Warren AFB Bank. Key factors in choosing Warren was Direct Deposit, Free Checking (including check blanks), no fees or additional charges for services. Reluctantly, or more like with some doubt, I opened my account at Warren in Jan 1985. As it turned out, it was the best move.
The initial transaction from DFAS to Warren went very well. From that time forward, regardless of any task (such as transfers, protections, savings, etc. no problems occurred. I had learned that with Army pay, "if it isn't broken, don't fix it". During the next several years, I found myself all over the world, needing banking access. I never had a problem with writing a check anywhere, being accepted even in Korea. If I had any doubt, Warren was just a phone call away, and rarely did that call have to be made.
With me being transferred to new duty station's several times, all I had to do was give Warren my new address and phone number, and business went on uninterrupted. Without any hesitations, I recommended Warren to other servicemen and friends. Still do by the way. When Warren became Blue FCU, some changes came with it, but nothing to merit changing Banks.
Upon my retirement in 2002, Blue still met my expectations and the service from the beginning to this date has been top notch. I do not see any reason to go somewhere else. I will remain with Blue until the end, then it doesn't matter.

"My story spans several decades. First, we joined the Blue family (FE Warren FCU) back in 1986 while stationed at FE Warren AFB. We had been married for 5 years and just transferred back from back to back overseas assignments. I was pregnant with our first child due in Oct 1986. We had several issues with the bank we were banking with and were very unhappy, so we switched. No matter where we moved in our career, we always had FE Warren FCU as our bank. From Germany to Mississippi to Alaska to Alabama we never wavered and kept our bank with Warren. They were there to help out and we never had any banking issues. We retired in Alabama in 2005 after 28 years with the Air Force. Unfortunately, my story took a drastic turn a few years later as my husband of 28 years wanted a divorce. I cannot begin to tell you the feelings and emotions I was dealing with at the time. So here we are now in the 2008 timeframe and I had to separate myself from my spouse after 28 years. All of the folks I talked with at Warren guided me with much patience and understanding during this rough time. We closed and opened my own account, arranged for my sure pay for my GS salary, and eventually when all was done and the divorce was final my share of his retirement. Needless to say, I have loved all these years with this fantastic group of folks. transition into when it became Blue - it was seamless and I continued to receive the best advice and all of my needs were met. Even before mobile banking became so readily available, the customer support folks helped me find a way to deposit any checks I needed to get into my account via a sister service credit union. Needless to say, I have continued to bank with Blue even though my original bank account was in Wyoming and I live in Alabama. Words cannot express how much the support and services that Blue continues to offer to me. Any problems or issues that I have had have been resolved to the best of your ability. Thanks for all you have done for me over the last 39 years. I guess you could say I married in one decade and divorced in another decade..... as they say in the movies, "Thanks for the memories."
