Offering you peace of mind with Falcon Fraud Alerts

Blue Federal Credit Union is pleased to offer additional Falcon Fraud Protection services for your debit card.
Our goal is to help identify and prevent identity theft. If any transactions are unusual or outside of your normal spending patterns, you may receive communication from Falcon Fraud to confirm these transactions. If you have a Blue debit card with a cell phone number on file, Falcon Fraud will send you Fraud Alerts via text messages.
* If you do not have a cell phone number on file, Falcon Fraud will contact you at the email address or home phone number we have on file.

If potential fraud is detected on your debit card, this will be the process by which you will be notified:

1. Text Alert

If suspicious activity is detected on your account, a text message will be sent to the cell phone number on file in your account. The text will contain information about the transaction in question including the last four digits on the card used, the dollar amount of the transaction and the name of the merchant the transaction took place.
Texts will be sent from a 6-digit short text number.

5 Minute wait

You will have 5 minutes to either reply "YES" if you authorized the transaction or "NO" if you did not authorize it. You will also have the option to opt out by replying "STOP".

2. Email

If 5 minutes passes with no response, an email will be sent from the Falcon Fraud team through CO-OP to the email address on file. The email will include a brief description of why the email was sent along with the information about the transaction in question including the last four digits of the card used, the dollar amount of the transaction and the name of the merchant the transaction took place.

5 Minute Wait

You will have 5 minutes to select one of two options within the email: 'All Transaction(s) Authorized' or 'One or More Transaction(s) NOT Authorized.' Please select the appropriate response.

3. Phone Call

If 5 minutes passes with no response, a phone call will be made to the mobile number on file first. If there is no answer, a phone call will be placed to the home number on file.
