Celebrate Health and Wealth during National Credit Union Youth Month!
At Blue, we care about our members’ all around well-being, and we are happy to celebrate National Credit Union Youth month this April by promoting physical and fiscal fitness.
National Credit Union Youth Month is the perfect time to start discussing finances with kids. Younger children can learn to start saving and spending wisely with allowances or helping with family budgets. Teenagers can start using checking accounts and credit cards, along with having conversations about universities and the cost of education. It’s never too early to start talking with kids about money and how the Credit Union is able to serve their needs. Whether it is a first savings account, auto loan, or credit card, we are here to assist with those first steps. We also invite you to speak with a financial specialist about our financial products for our youth members, such as our Accelerated Savings or uAccount Checking account. These products are perfect for first time account holders and help educate our youth about the basics of finance as they grow.
In addition to financial literacy, we hope to inspire our youth members in adopting other healthy habits. Young members can stop by any of our branch locations throughout April to register for a chance to win a youth bike. Kids under 18 years old are eligible to enter, and winners of the bike giveaway at each branch will be contacted the first week of May.
