What is a WCDA loan?

If you are a first-time home buyer in the state of Wyoming, you may qualify for WCDA funds at special interest rates. To qualify for a WCDA, you cannot have owned a home in the last 3 years. Income limitations also apply.

A Home Equity Line of Credit is a revolving line of credit secured by the equity in a home. Using the equity you already have in your home can be a great way to get to all the things you've been putting on hold.

  • Line of Credit $10,000 – $150,000

  • Minimum Advance $100

  • Advances of credit line can be made up to 10 years

  • Balance of loan is due in 10 years

  • Minimum monthly payment is 1% of balance or $100

Johnnette Blakley

1st Mortgage Loan Manager

Johnnette Blakley started in the credit union industry in 2001, starting out as a teller and moving up through the years into lending. Johnnette started 1st mortgage lending in 2012 and is now currently the mortgage manager at Blue FCU. Johnnette’s background in mortgage lending makes her an expert in Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, WCDA and portfolio lending. Johnnette is always looking for ways to help her loan officers find the best products and solutions for all members and their needs. Johnnette is a native of Colorado and currently works out of the Longmont area. Johnnette grew up in the Broomfield area and later moved to Frederick. She has 3 children and 2 grandchildren whom all love to be outdoors camping and enjoying the mountains of Colorado.

Ed Bettinson

1st Mortgage Officer

Ed Bettinson is a 1st Mortgage Officer based in Broomfield. He started with the Credit Union in 2010 and he has helped hundreds of members make an informed decision about a home purchase or refinance. His passion is understanding member’s needs and helping them navigate the mortgage loan process to achieve their goals. The Blue promise, “ For you. For Life” describes Ed’s desire to build a lifetime relationship with members. Prior to joining the Credit Union, Ed’s experience includes 30 years in the mortgage and lending industries. Ed and his wife, Janet are Broomfield residents. They enjoy spending time with their family and travel.

Jason Harris

1st Mortgage Officer

Jason grew up in Wyoming, spent most of his younger years in Rawlins, and then attended UW after high school, graduating with a BS in Business Management. After graduating from UW, he moved to Houston for a year, but realized there is no place like Wyoming. Cheyenne has been home for the past 15 years. Jason has been in the credit union industry for 15 years. During those 15 years, he has been involved in the lending side in one capacity or another. He has been with Blue FCU for almost 6 years. For the past 2.5 years, he has been with the Mortgage Dept. He has a passion for members and wants them to be financially successful in every aspect. He understands that buying a home is major step in one’s life and strives to make the process as painless as possible.

Joe has worked in Lending for the Credit Union since 2012. Starting as Manager of the teller line with the former BME Credit Union, Joe has worked his way up to Loan Officer and eventually 1st Mortgage Loan Officer with Blue FCU. With a passion for helping members and providing sound financial advice, Joe’s success has relied on his knowledge of products and providing quality service and consultation. Having experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, Joe can assist you with determining the best program for your mortgage purchase or refinance. Originally from Iowa and with a degree from Iowa State University, Joe fell in love with Colorado after spending vacations skiing and camping in the Rockies. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Joe in the mountains, playing music, traveling with his wife, or completing his latest woodworking project.
