Blue It Forward by Doing Good

Do good with Blue. We create community building connections.

Blue It Forward With Us!

At Blue, we empower our members to ‘Blue It Forward’ and make a difference in their communities. We believe members deserve a community built around authentic connections, so we spend our time and energy creating meaningful impact for the people and places we care about.

We are Your Lifelong Champion

We are passionate creators building a better tomorrow. Why? Because Blue strives to be positive in everything we do and with everybody we interact with. We empower members to tap into the potential of their money, life, and community.

Every day, we work with people who want to take their first steps toward a better financial future. Every day, we see our teammates doing considerate and unexpected things for others. Every day, we see people face tough life circumstances and triumph in finding a way to move forward. Every day, we see how kindness, creative problem-solving, and a little bit of help can change someone’s life.

We feel optimism every day. We feel the true power of being part of an organization that genuinely wants to do good, believes more can be accomplished together, and then makes it happen. That’s why we invest in your pursuit of life.

Do Gooder Award

Blue formally recognizes outstanding people within our communities who have done something great for their community. To accomplish this, we have partnered with KGWN in Cheyenne and Fox 31 in Denver. If you want to nominate a do-gooder in your community, click one of the links below.

The Blue Foundation

Being a part of the best credit union is easy through a membership with the Blue Foundation. See what the Blue Foundation is all about and how to become a part of a foundation focused on transforming communities to reach their full potential.

Financial Good

We help you plan for the big-picture wellbeing of your family and use the right financial tools for your specific situation and goals.

Personal Good

We go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome, cared for, and special to us. You can always come to us for help.

Community Good

We prioritize funding and volunteering for local non-profits and causes that our members care about. In fact, we even give our employees paid time off to volunteer!

Community Involvement

We get involved in Blue communities in ways that matter most.

Blue was founded in Cheyenne in 1951 and holds a special place in our hearts as our founding city. Blue can be found in so many community spaces it’s hard to list them all. From being involved in our biggest tradition, Cheyenne Frontier Days, to representing Cheyenne families by sponsoring soccer and baseball teams across the city, we are proud to be a part of the community where we started.

We are part of the proud tradition of Laramie Jubilee Days, a celebration of Wyoming’s western roots. We partner with Laramie Main Street Alliance to celebrate wellness with Bike to Work week and Bike Home from Work, as well as Laramie Soup Kitchen to ensure residents don’t go hungry.

We are proud to support Boulder Together, an initiative of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce that seeks to address Boulder’s economic and community needs. We co-host True North Young Adult Services annual Christmas Tree Lighting. True North is dedicated to serving the needs of abused, neglected, and vulnerable youth throughout Boulder County.

In Broomfield our focus lies with 2 major organizations within this community; Broomfield FISH, and FRIENDS of Broomfield. FRIENDS of Broomfield is dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Broomfield FISH provides food, emergency assistance, and 1-on-1 mentoring to community residents in need.

As a relatively new community to Blue, we are always seeking out new partnerships in the Denver area. Bullying Recovery Resource Center is one of our flagship partners. They offer resources defending bullied children and we work closely together at their events to do good.

We support the Erie community through our presence at Erie High School. Additionally, we partner with Colorado Music Festival to bring a vibrant art experience to this community and its neighbors.

In Fort Collins, Blue is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor for the Realities for Children NightLights event focused on taking children out of the darkness of abuse. In addition to NightLights, Blue’s partnership with Realities for Children extends throughout the year by having a presence at fundraising events and business partnership opportunities.

Granby’s close knit community welcomes Blue in activities throughout the year such as the local Farmer’s Market, rodeos, and golf tournaments, all supporting non-profit groups in the central Rocky Mountain region.

From supporting children at the WOW Museum to the elderly community members using Coal Creek Meals on Wheels, Blue provides education and food security to our neighbors through this region. WOW Museum features a mini branch that exposes kids to the world of credit unions.

We partner with Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce to engage with our members in this small-town community. We participate in everything from the Wellington Fun Run to raising funds at the first ever Spargetoberfest.
