People Helping People—That's Blue

This isn’t just business; this is life. We want to spend our time, energy and money doing meaningful things that make a difference for the people and places we care about.

Everyday Optimism

We are a team of optimists. Why? Because Blue strives to be positive in everything we do, and with everybody we interact with. Every day, we see the difference that one person can make, in their own life, family and community.

Every day, we work with people who want to take their first steps towards a better financial future. Every day, we see our teammates doing considerate and unexpected things for others. Every day, we see people face tough life circumstances and triumph in finding a way to move forward. Every day, we see how kindness, creative problem solving, and a little bit of help can change someone’s life.

We feel optimism every day. We feel the true power of being part of an organization that genuinely wants to do good, believes more can be accomplished together, and then makes it happen. That’s why, we invest in your pursuit of life.

Financial Good

We help you plan for the big-picture wellbeing of your family and use the right financial tools for your specific situation and goals.

Personal Good

We go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome, cared for, and special to us. You can always come to us for help.

Community Good

We prioritize funding and volunteering for local non-profits and causes that our members care about. In fact, we even give our employees paid time off to volunteer!

Community Involvement

We get involved in Blue hometowns in ways that matter to those communities. Here are just a few ways we're doing good:

Blue donated 75 relief bags to the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center as a small token of our appreciation for all that they have done and will do. Plus, grocery stores across our communities are working tirelessly. To help them to protect themselves, we donated hand sanitizers to the workers at the commissary at F.E. Warren A.F.B.

We donated to several non-profits in the communities we serve, including Laramie’s BackPacks Against Hunger program with the Albany County School District. Their Do Good mission is to help kids who face hunger receive nourishment while at home. Although this is a national program, it is community-led and all donations go back into Albany County.

Blue employees and members raised $500 to support our partners at Realities for Children in Boulder County at the Annual Nightlights event.

Blue sponsored a bowling team for A Precious Child’s Bowl-A-Thon in Broomfield. Through this sponsorship, A Precious Child was able to raise over $18,000 to support programs serving Colorado children in need. We also helped gather school supplies to Fill A Backpack for A Precious Child.

As part of our Do Good project in 2020, we worked hard to raise $12,750 for the Colorado Farmer's Market Association. We also attended many Denver area farmers markets to show our support for local farmers and other small business who participate in person to person commerce.

With our newly built Erie branch, we wanted to show that community that we were there to be their co-pilot. We quickly partnered with Erie High School in order to sponsor their sports scoreboard.

In Fort Collins, Blue is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor for Realities For Children NightLights and to help take a child out of the darkness of abuse. Nightlights serve as the biggest annual fundraiser for Realities for Children and every dollar raised goes toward meeting the needs of local children who have been abused, neglected or who are at-risk.

Blue helped Mountain Family Center in Granby raise over $50,000 with our match donation campaign and gain several new donors with our outreach.

During the Lafayette Do Good Campaign, Blue donated $10,000 to the World of Wonder Children’s Museum. They used the funds to place a mural on the side of the building.

In Wellington, Blue sponsors the Harvest Farm Fall Festival, which provides a family-friendly day on the Farm, including a corn maze, pig races, petting zoo, wagon rides, and much more. As an extended operation of the Denver Rescue Mission, Harvest Farm is a 100-acre farm and rehabilitation center for men seeking to break the cycle of addiction and homelessness. Through the New Life Program, Blue Federal Credit Union volunteers to provide financial literacy seminars, credit building, budgeting, and banking.

Generations of Blue

Blue will be celebrating our 70th anniversary in June, 2021!

Blue would not exist without you and your membership and we want to celebrate this incredible milestone with you. The premise is simple - each month, a different decade of members will be celebrated (the decades represent the date you became a member, not your birth year). At the end of each month, a member will be drawn from the highlighted decade to win $500. All members will be automatically entered into the drawing.
